World sunlight map
The Dead Parrot Society links to this map of world sunlight and cloud cover with the comment, "This is very cool."
Ditto.

FWIW, these world maps (with or without updated cloud cover) are also a part of a shareware Mac desktop program called Earthdesk. Don't know if it's available for PC (I'm on a Mac) but I've been using it for awhile, and it's truly cool to see it change in the background as I'm working. (Disclaimer: I'm not in any way connected to the shareware or its author, just a happy user.)
